About Stance Cricket

Stance Cricket is a web-based AI cricket biomechanics app, built in India by CitroSpace. A player films a session on a phone and uploads it; Stance measures the body mechanics of each shot, the speed, line and length of each delivery, and the mechanics of the run-up. Coaches and academies use it to track a whole squad on one measurement standard.

What Stance measures

  • Batting. How the base is set, how the trunk rotates, where the head stays through contact, and whether the body segments fire in sequence. How batting analysis works.
  • Ball and delivery. Speed, the line and length it pitched on, and swing or seam in flight, calibrated from the regulated size of the stumps. How bowling speed is measured from video.
  • Run-up. The approach and the delivery stride, where many bowling problems start even when they show up at release.
  • Bowling action. Elbow extension across the release window, the quantity the ICC’s 15-degree rule is written about. Not an official ruling. The 15-degree rule explained.

Who builds it

Stance Cricket is made by CitroSpace, a company founded in 2026 by Rishi Gupta and Pradaksh Prasun, who write the guides on this site.

Rishi Gupta

Co-founder, CitroSpace

Rishi builds Stance's product and data systems: the analytics platform, the data warehouse behind every session, and the interface players and coaches use.

Pradaksh Prasun

Co-founder, CitroSpace

Pradaksh builds Stance's computer-vision and machine-learning pipelines: pose estimation, ball and stump detection, and the models that turn footage into measurements.

How we approach the numbers

A single phone camera can measure a great deal about cricket technique, and it has real limits: it measures movement across the frame far better than movement toward the lens, and frame rate sets how finely fast events are sampled. We publish the method and those limits on /learn rather than quote accuracy figures we have not measured in your conditions.

Uploaded footage and the body data derived from it are handled as described in our privacy policy.
